Indoor Sections: Air Handler Units, A-Coils and Refrigeration Lines
Air handlers, A-coils and refrigeration lines along with the condensing unit (above table) form a complete central cooling system. Most central cooling systems use either an air handler or an A-coil. Air handlers are used when the central cooling system is not part of a heating system while A coils are used in combination with a central heating system.

Air handlers are equipped with a blower and control package. These units don't require a heating system to operate. A-coils are used in conjunction with hot air furnaces. The A-coils are placed on top of the hot air furnace and use the furnaces blower system to move air. Refrigerant lines connect the indoor and outdoor sections.
