Security systems are easy to operate. Arming stations tell you what is happening in easy-to-read display windows. "One-Button" arming (like your car alarm), allows you to get in and out of your home quickly and without another key to carry.

Wire-less systems utilize radio waves to send signals back 'n forth between the sensors and the control panel. Though all systems involve some degree of wiring to work properly, wire-less systems use a minimal amount. Wire-less systems allow us to reach remote places. Hard-Wired and Wireless Systems
Some security systems, usually called hard-wired systems, require the installation of specialized communications wiring from every detection sensor back to the control panel. The detectors that a hard-wired system uses can be small an unobtrusive. Hard-wired systems usually require little maintenance aside from an annual test. In some homes where décor is important, or where monthly maintenance might be difficult or undesirable, the additional cost of a hard-wired system is very worthwhile.

Wireless systems use radio waves for communications between sensing devices and the control panel. Because there is no central power source for this type of system, each device must have a built-in battery. These batteries require regular replacement, and so the devices must be kept accessible. The detectors used in a wireless system are therefore larger and more noticeable than those used in a hard-wired system. When you choose a wireless system, we will replace all the system batteries during your annual test. Annual maintenance of a wireless system is more costly than for a hard-wired system because of the cost of the batteries.

Which type of system is best for your home? Wireless, hard-wired, or a blend of both? We will make our recommendation after doing a comprehensive evaluation of your home and your needs.

Intrusion Sensors
Security systems use sensors to detect intrusion. Sensors are specialized by shape and detection method. These devices have the ability to sense a variety of physical alterations including motion, body heat, forcing of a door, and window movement. Sensors can also be installed to detect sounds, including the sound of breaking glass, talking, and custom-tuned sounds.

Active sensors are those that detect physical movement. Passive sensors are constantly sensing the environment, and when the environment alters more than a preset value a signal is sent from the sensor to the control panel for analysis. The control panel interprets the signals from all the sensors in the house of building and determines what action to take based on your instructions. We can design a system than allows you to choose what the system will do under certain circumstances. For example, we can design a system that allows your household pet to roam around in the house while sounding the alarm signals if an intruder was to enter the living room.

Smoke Detectors
Your home can have the latest fire and smoke detection devices available. Properly placed detectors save lives and property. We will place detectors around the sleeping areas of your home to alert your family of an alarm. Smoke detectors placed in utility rooms, basements and around the kitchen add early warning protection when an electrical connection or appliance overheats.

Testing and Maintenance
At Keyes North Atlantic we provide specially trained and licensed personnel to perform testing and maintenance to ensure your is operating properly. We can also provide testing or service contract coverage for systems installed by others.

Payment
